Trying to get Back to Development from Scratch

Some earlier projects have cut  Development(though I would agree large part of contribution was from my end). One of the prime reasons could be that I never got to be a part of some Hardcore Development Team. And the current one could become the last nail in the coffin.

After due thinking and discussions, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not able to maintain the motivation for long. Its like I start every topic, spend two- three days on it, and the motivation's gone.

But this time,I'll be writing whatever the feelings get into me while following the path to enlightenment. I've started feeling that I'm not justified on my part when I'm motivating people to learn, and on my part I'm demotivated.

This blog would cover things starting from scratch,some programming concepts, some certifications,and may be, my efforts to write some application.

Hope the blog keeps me motivated, coz I'll be accountable towards me this time.

I wish myself best of luck for this new endeavour !!!

This morning, one of the fellow developers shared the issue. He was getting the error below while opening any of the files: And some other guys came up with the same thing. I tried to find the root cause, was unable to do so. I'll update this post if I find that. However, there is good news. I've got the solution: Resolution steps are ; -Close Visual Studio - Go to the location C:\Users\ navdeep \AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0 (replace navdeep with your user id) - Delete the folder ComponentModelCache. - Start Visual Studio It builds the component cache and the things are working again  :-)

How to Tweak the New Multi-Monitor Taskbar in Windows 8

For years, users have wondered why on earth Microsoft wouldn’t make the taskbar customizable and usable across multiple monitors. The release of Windows 8 won’t tell us why it took so long, but at least we’ll get some new features. Here’s a quick look for those that haven’t already seen them. The new Taskbar in Windows 8 finally spans multiple monitors, and can be customized so that the taskbar buttons on each monitor are the buttons for windows open on that monitor. You can also make both taskbars show all windows if you choose. To access the new settings, head into Taskbar Properties by right-clicking on the Taskbar and choosing Properties. Once there, you’ll see the “Multiple displays” section at the bottom of the dialog, where you can quickly check the box to enable or disable showing the taskbar across displays.
